Claiming your CME credits and ABIM/ABP MOC points

All claims are made online by visiting: myMedStudy or type my.medstudy.com into your internet browser’s address bar:

You may claim CME and MOC up to the CME expiration date (see table below for dates). MOC points should be claimed by the end of the calendar year to count for that year.

 Claim CME/MOC

In order to claim your credits and points, follow the instructions below:

  • Go to myMedStudy and click “Sign In” at upper right corner. Enter your username. Your username will be the email address you entered or gave when originally ordering your product.
  • Enter your password. If you do not remember your password or were never given one, click Forgot password. You will receive an email from support@medstudy.com with instructions on how to change your password.
  • Once logged into your myMedStudy account, click CME/MOC (located in the top menu bar). This will take you to a page displaying your MedStudy products with eligible CME credits. Click on the product name for which you wish to make a claim and start the online application.
  • If the product is eligible for ABIM MOC points, there will be an additional section for you to complete.
  • If the product is eligible for ABP MOC points, you will be able to claim the MOC once you’ve claimed the maximum number of CME credits available for the product.
  • For all products except the Q&A Premium, you must take and pass a post-test with a minimum score of 70%. You can take the test as many times as you need to pass. For the Q&A Premium, every four questions answered correctly earns you 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ and 1 ABIM/ABP MOC point, up to the maximum amount of credits/points offered per subscription year. The system automatically tracks your correct answers.
  • You will get an email link to your CME certificate immediately upon completion of your application and a separate email confirming that your MOC points were reported by MedStudy to the ABIM or ABP within a few days (if applicable).
  • Participation in this CME activity will be reported, by MedStudy, to the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Board of Pediatrics through the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education’s Program and Activity Reporting System (if applicable).

If you have additional questions about CME or MOC, visit our FAQ page.

MedStudy CME/MOC activities

MedStudy designates this enduring material/live activity for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the activity with individual assessments of the participant and feedback to the participant, enables the participant to earn MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit.

MedStudy’s CME Purpose
MedStudy’s primary purpose is to provide bias-free, quality, educational activities that advance physician competency in both internal medicine and pediatrics, as measured by successful preparation for the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) Board exams and by our physicians’ self-reported improvement in patient care, which occurs as a result of increased knowledge.

MedStudy Disclosure
MedStudy, including all of its employees, has no financial interest, arrangement or affiliation with any commercial entity producing, marketing, reselling, or distributing health care goods or services consumed by, or used on, patients. Furthermore, MedStudy complies with the AMA Council on Ethical and Judicial Affairs (CEJA) opinions that address the ethical obligations that underpin physician participation in CME: 8.061, “Gifts to physicians from industry,” 9.011, “Ethical issues in CME,” and 9.0115, “Financial Relationships with Industry in CME.”

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ are available only to the original purchaser of the product (directly from MedStudy). If your product was purchased through a group order, your name must be included in that order for you to be eligible for credits.

Note: AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ may be submitted to the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) for category 2 credit. All other health care professionals will be issued a certificate of participation.

A record of your participation in MedStudy-sponsored CME activities is available online by logging into your myMedStudy account, or by calling our CME Department at 1-800-841-0547, ext. 3. MedStudy maintains records of all CME credits earned by each physician for at least 6 years.
