Welcome to MedStudy’s CME web page. We understand that the needs of each physician are unique, but that you generally share two goals:

1) To pass your certification or recertification exam, and
2) Gain knowledge and improve clinical competency.

 

MedStudy-sponsored CME courses and products are designed to help you do both.

CME – How to Apply for Credits

How to Apply for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™
Participants in MedStudy live courses receive an application form for CME credit at the event. CME credit processing fees are included in the registration cost of MedStudy Intensive courses and IM Recertification Review courses.)

All MedStudy printed products furnish the user with a CME credit application as part of the bound print material. (For software format of Q&A products, the CME form is accessed within the program and can be printed from there.) On this application, the user certifies by signature how many credits s/he has earned (1 hour = 1 credit) up to the total credits allowed for each product. The application process is an honors system, without any formal “test” to be taken. Each product has its own CME application and mandatory evaluation form, and each application/evaluation must be accompanied by a $40 application/processing fee. This is all detailed on the CME application form.

All CME certificates will be sent (preferably e-mailed) within 6-8 weeks after applications are received. Call 1-800-841-0547 if you need to receive your certificate more quickly— or if you lost the CME credit application form that accompanied your product(s).

A record of your participation in MedStudy-sponsored CME activities is available by calling Customer Service (800-841-0547). MedStudy maintains records of all CME credits earned by each person for each activity for at least 6 years. Records are updated 6-8 weeks after receipt of documentation of your participation in a MedStudy-sponsored activity.

Important Information about eligibility for CME credits
AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ are available ONLY to the original individual purchaser of the product, bought directly from MedStudy. A product re-sold by another party, even if unused, does not qualify for CME credits. MedStudy understands that some physicians might sell their original MedStudy product after they have passed their Board exam. However, eligibility for CME credit is not transferrable on such resales.
