Recertification – Pediatrics
If your current certification with the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) is about to expire (or has already), you’ve got a major test to pass to get recertified. As you probably know, the Program for Maintenance of Certification in General Pediatrics requires you to complete a 200-question closed-book examination in order to be recertified. Many of you will recall the old recertification program “test” that was open-book. Not any more. No resource materials are allowed in the Prometric® computer testing centers where the PMCP-G exams are administered. So now you must rely on what you know to pass this exam. The exam is clinically oriented, and the ABP says there will be as many as 30 or more practice topic areas tested. Are you ready for what that exam will throw at you?
