Internal Medicine Residency Program Directors
IM program directors ultimately want their residents to succeed on the Boards, but most directors want something more, and that is the ability to foster more competence in physicians while they are still in residency. Doing so not only contributes to better exam scores but also reflects well on your program. Plus, you have to evaluate your residents’ medical knowledge and patient care skills for the ABIM each year. The more positive the evaluations, the more you know your program is achieving its objectives. MedStudy has been shown to improve the clinical knowledge and practice skills of residents. Some programs have seen inservice scores climb as much as 40 percent after adopting MedStudy as primary course material. Chief among the reasons for this is that the content in MedStudy resources is comprehensive yet understandable, logically organized, enhanced by memory aids and self-testing tools. This makes for stronger comprehension and higher retention of IM fundamentals. Quite simply, this makes for better physicians. Exactly the kind of physicians you want your program to be known for.
